Whether your plan is to obtain the GED for additional education, or if your plan is to seek employment or job advancement, Southern Crescent Technical College can help!

Southern Crescent Technical College encourages those persons who successfully pass the GED® to consider enrolling in post-secondary training. A combination of the GED credential and a post-secondary credential provides a powerful tool for obtaining productive employment.

When applying for post-secondary education and job opportunities, it may be necessary to obtain a GED transcript as part of the application process. Transcript information may be found at http://www.tcsg.edu/ged.php. Please refer to GED Transcript and Diploma Request Form section.

   Scholarship Opportunity for Qualified GED Graduates

GED/Advancement-to-College Textbook Scholarship is a $250 textbook scholarship awarded to a recent Southern Crescent Technical College GED graduate (completed within the last 12 months) who scored over 500 on the GED test and who has enrolled part-time or full-time in Southern Crescent Technical College to begin work on a certificate, diploma, or degree program of study. For information about applying for this scholarship, please contact your Adult Education instructor or the Adult Education Transition Specialist at 706-646-6121.

Admission into credit programs may require your taking a college entrance test, such as the COMPASS or ASSET.  Practice tests can be found at PRACTICE or on the Adult Education Resources link under the heading COMPASS Practice

 

Georgia Work Ready Program

Southern Crescent Technical College is a proponent of the Georgia Work Ready Program. This innovative program offers individuals the opportunity to be assessed in the employability skill areas of Reading for Information, Applied Mathematics, and Locating Information. These skill areas may be assessed by the Georgia Work Ready assessment and credentialed as a Georgia Work Ready certificate.
