You must reapply for financial aid each academic year which begins with Summer Quarter. We advise that you complete your annual tax return (1040, 1040A, 1040EZ, etc.) first and use this information to complete your annual FAFSA.
Students seeking federal financial aid, as well as a number of state financial aid programs, must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This can be done electronically online, or with the paper form by mail. Should you choose to complete the FAFSA by mail, you, the student, must contact FAFSA directly by calling the Federal Student Aid Information Center at (1-800) 433-3243 or (1-319)337-5665.
Students may complete the GSFAPPS for programs such as HOPE instead of completing the FAFSA. This application may not automatically roll forward from one year to the next so please contact the Financial Aid office at (770) 228-7368 or (770) 229-3089 to ensure that we have a GSFAPPS on file for you for the correct year.

The FAFSA for the current academic year is available online. You should complete your tax forms (1040, 1040A, 1040EZ, etc) first and use that information to complete your FAFSA.
Please remember that you must complete a FAFSA for each academic year. For example, if you plan to begin attending Southern Crescent Technical College in Summer Quarter you must complete a FAFSA for the academic year 2010-2011 which begins July 1, 2010 – June 30, 2011.
