General Admission

Age

All students must be at least 16 years of age at the time of application to Southern Crescent Technical College.

Education

A high school diploma or GED is required for admission to most programs at Southern Crescent Technical College. There are some Technical Certificate of Credit programs that do not require a diploma or GED to enter.

Application for Admission

Southern Crescent Technical College admits students regardless of age, sex, race, national origin, color or handicap. Students seeking admission into any credit or non-credit course or program must be at least 16 years of age. All applicants must submit a Southern Crescent Technical College application SCTC application with a $15 non-refundable application fee.

Testing

Prospective students entering all degree and diploma and specified certificate programs must do one of the following:

  • Take the ASSET or COMPASS placement test
  • Submit acceptable SAT or ACT scores
  • Provide an official transcript from an accredited post secondary institution showing satisfactory completion of appropriate English and math courses

Applications from persons who do not actually enroll in Southern Crescent Technical College will be maintained for one year from the date of application.
