English Language (ESL)

Southern Crescent Technical College provides instruction in the English language to participants who have a primary language other than English. This program provides assistance with speaking and understanding the English language with the primary emphasis on conversational English.

Southern Crescent Technical College also offers instruction to prepare for the GED and citizenship tests. Our classes include activities involving festivals, music, and traditional food. We are able to help with your new language in the following areas:

in your job/finding a job
to prepare you to obtain a job promotion
in the grocery store/shopping center
in the doctor's office/Emergency Room
to fill out forms for the Department of Immigration
to prepare you to pass the Citizenship Test

At the present time, English Language Programs are offered in Fayette, Spalding, and Henry counties.
