Student Leadership Council

The Student Leadership Council (SLC) allows students to become involved in the decision-making process concerning Southern Crescent Technical College's policies and regulations, as well as the planning of social and cultural events and opportunities for service.

The SLC should consist of two members from each area representing both day and evening students. Officers are elected by and represent the entire student body. The executive committee works with a faculty advisor to address issues of concern and to plan events that benefit the students. Regular meetings are held at convenient times and each member is encouraged to express opinions and to participate fully.

The SLC offers a unique opportunity for personal growth. In addition, it is a great way to meet new people on campus. Time management, team building, problem solving, and organizational skills are enhanced through SLC participation.

Students may become involved by talking with their advisors or by contacting the Student Activities Coordinator or any of the officers of SLC.  The only requirement is that you are committed to serving the student body and will participate fully in all of the approved activities.

SLC sponsored activities include: Fall Student Leadership Conference, GOAL, Fall Festival, Multicultural Day, and Student Appreciation Day.
