SCTC Begins Adult Education Classes at Griffin’s Fairmont Community Center

Southern Crescent Technical College is pleased to announce the recent opening of Adult Education classes at Griffin’s Fairmont Community Center located at 241 Blanton Avenue.

Adult Education classes are designed to help students with College and Career Readiness, GED Preparation, Life Skills, and English as a Second Language. Individuals ages 16 and older are eligible to enroll in the program with proper documentation. Instruction includes individualized assignments, small group and large group instruction and activities, and online components in order to maximize learning opportunities. An array of class times and days allows students to attend classes without sacrificing job, family, and other commitments. All instruction, books, and materials are FREE of charge. Regular attendance is required.

Dr. Murray Williams, Vice President for Adult Education at Southern Crescent Technical College stated, “We are very excited to bring these classes to the residents of this community. This project has been in the works for quite some time and we hope that this location will be a convenient and welcoming place for students to pursue their educational goals.”
