SCTC Celebrates GOAL, EAGLE, and Rick Perkins Award Nominees

On Wednesday, February 22, SCTC faculty, staff, administration, as well as many family and friends of the College gathered for a beautiful reception to celebrate the accomplishments of Southern Crescent Technical College’s (SCTC) top students and instructor.

SCTC recently announced the college representatives for several Technical College System of Georgia awards. Eric Capes, a Radiologic Technology student, will represent the College in the Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership (GOAL) award. Adrienne Dore, an Adult Education student will represent SCTC in the Exceptional Adult Georgian in Literacy Education (EAGLE) competition, and Dr. Roslyn Johnson-McCurry, an Early Childhood Care and Education program coordinator and instructor will represent the College in the Rick Perkins Award for Excellence in Technical Education competition.

Dr. Alvetta Thomas, President of Southern Crescent Technical College, stated “These individuals are the top representatives for GOAL, EAGLE, and Rick Perkins for Southern Crescent Technical College and we wanted to send them off with cheer and celebration. Mr. Capes, Ms. Dore, and Dr. Johnson-McCurry are wonderful individuals and will represent our College well.  They have already done an outstanding job and we wish them luck in the coming weeks at the regional competition and then again in April at the state competition.”
