Southern Crescent Technical College recently hosted the annual Career Fair on April 19, 2017 with more than 40 employers attending this year's event. This job fair, hosted by the Office of Career and Academic Planning, connects current students and recent graduates with potential employers in the area.
Career Connection hosted over 70 representatives who were actively recruiting to fill available jobs within their company. Each representative prepared a display showcasing their company and were on hand to discuss job opportunities with qualified students and graduates. Students were able to polish their interviewing skills and determine what companies are expecting from their future employees.
Susan Murray, Career and Academic Planning Director, stated, "Our Career Fair is designed to facilitate a positive relationship between our students and local employers. Bringing employers to our campus provides an excellent opportunity for students to market themselves in a comfortable setting."
Employers continue to look to graduates of Southern Crescent Technical College for qualified workers with the hands-on skills needed for success in the workplace. As a result of the Career Air, most employers in attendance expect to interview, offer, and/or hire the students and graduates that they met at the event.
