It is with great pleasure that I extend a warm welcome to Southern Crescent Technical College. I am Chief Lemuel Mercado, privileged to serve as your dedicated Chief of Police for our college campus. Our mission is to ensure a secure and nurturing learning environment where faculty and staff can fully support your journey toward success in preparation for the global workforce.
The SCTC Police Department is entrusted with the responsibility of safeguarding all our campuses, including the Griffin Campus, Henry Campus, Flint River Campus, Butts County Center, Jasper County Center, and the Fayette County Center. We achieve this through diligent routine patrols, advanced security and surveillance systems, and the implementation of updated law enforcement strategies. Our team comprises both full-time and part-time police officers, all certified by the state of Georgia Peace Officer Standards of Training Council (GA POST).
