INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTERS
6-Hour Course

Overcome your fear and get started! Become familiar with basic computer terms and learn how to use the mouse and keyboard, finding websites, reading a web page, creating bookmarks, saving files and how to place files in a folder.

EXCEL - LEVEL I
6-Hour Course

Students are taught the basic functions needed to work with the Microsoft Excel Software. Topics include:

  • Spreadsheet design and formatting
  • Entering and editing data
  • Modifying a worksheet
  • Entering and editing formulas
  • Using basic function statements
  • Formatting
  • Creating charts
  • Managing large workbooks

EXCEL - LEVEL II
6-Hour Course

Advanced Topics Include:

  • Using multiple worksheets and workbooks
  • Advanced formatting
  • Outlining and subtotaling
  • Cell and range naming
  • Protecting a worksheet
  • Templates
  • PivotTables

EXCEL - LEVEL III
6-Hour Course

This class helps students gain even more control over the spreadsheet and will expand into:

  • Logical and statistical functions
  • Financial and date functions
  • Analytical tools
  • Macros, lookups and data tables
  • Validation & exchanging data with other programs

ACCESS - LEVEL I
6-Hour Course

Students must be efficient in the windows environment. Students will learn how to:

  • Design and create a database
  • Create and add data to tables
  • Sort and filter records
  • Validate entered data
  • Write basic queries
  • Design forms
  • Create and print reports

POWERPOINT
6-Hour Course

Learn how to build an exciting presentation that will create an attentive audience. Learn to use sound and graphics, charts, transitions, and animation and how to get the presentation ready to view.

WORD LEVEL I
6-Hour Course

This is a beginning word processing course where students are taught to use tools to help:

  • Design and type a document
  • Manipulate text to meet the needs of the reader

WORD LEVEL II
6-Hour Course

Learn to use graphics and other “visual aids” within documents. Introducing other skills:

  • Using advanced formatting options
  • Working with headers, footers and columns
  • Using various styles
  • Creating and formatting tables
  • Using basic collaboration features
  • Using charts, diagrams and organization charts

Guided step-by-step labs provide opportunities to

practice new skills.

IPHONE/IPAD ESSENTIALS
4-Hour Course

  • Enabling 3D Touch
  • Using multitasking views
  • Installing third-party apps
  • Typing on an iPhone or iPad
  • Syncing music, photos, contacts, and more with your computer
  • Calling and texting
  • Making video calls with FaceTime
  • Sending and receiving email
  • Surfing the web
  • Playing music
  • Shooting photos and video
  • Getting directions from Maps
  • Adding events to your calendar
  • Taking notes
  • Using the built-in Wallet, Apple Pay, News, and Health apps
