Opt-Out of bookstore credit option
If a student chooses to “opt out” of the bookstore credit, then the student needs to complete the “Request to Opt-Out of Bookstore Credit” form located at the Cashier’s window of the Business Office one week before the start of the semester. These authorizations will be in effect as long as they are active in Banner.
Please note the “opt out” option does NOT allow you to receive your financial aid Pell Grant refund early. The first set of refunds of any given semester are sent to students approximately 48 days after the semester begins.
Southern Crescent Technical College Bookstore's primary goal is to ensure students are able to obtain the course materials they need at reasonable prices. We also provide many other items to support your academic career and school spirit. Purchases may be made by check, cash, or credit card. Each bookstore carries the books needed for the courses that are offered at that campus. Textbook requirements are determined by the instructor. Books may change from semester to semester depending on the course and the instructor. Caution is advised when purchasing books from other sources. Check with bookstore personnel to be sure you are purchasing the correct book. We are always open to suggestions, so if we don't have it, let us know and we will try to get it for you.
