Nelnet Student Payment Plan

SCTC has partnered with Nelnet, a leading educational planning and financing company that provides billing and customer services for students.

The Nelnet Automatic Payment Plan is not a loan program. There are no interest or finance charges, and there is no credit check. For a non-refundable enrollment fee (per semester), Nelnet will pay your tuition and fees and provide
you with a monthly payment plan divided into several payments.

Payment Methods

  • Automatic bank payment (ACH)
  • Credit Card/Debit Card

Payments are processed on the 20th of each month.

Cost to Participate

  • $30, $35, or $40 enrollment fee per semester
  • $30 returned payment fee if a payment is returned

Simple Steps to Enroll

  1. Log in to Banner and click Student Services and Financial Aid tab
  2. Click Student Records
  3. Click Account Summary
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Pay Online”
  5. Select the correct term
  6. Click “Pay by Payment Plan with Nelnet”

Payment Plan Availability:

Availability of the payment plan is determined by Southern Crescent Technical College. Please be aware the College may elect not to have the payment plan available during specific times and dates during registration.

Balance Adjustments:

Please do not assume your balance will automatically be adjusted if financial aid is received or a class is dropped or added. You should review your agreement balance online.

Authorized Payer:

Students: If someone is paying on your behalf, you MUST first set them up as an Authorized Payer.

Authorized Payers: If you are paying on behalf of the student, the student must access or set up their account first and then add you as an Authorized Payer.
