The Registrar’s Office provides an important link between academic policies of Southern Crescent Technical College and our academic departments and students. The responsibility of the Registrar’s office is to maintain accurate and secure records of all students.
This office is responsible for issuing transcripts and enrollment verifications; evaluating transcripts; graduation services; and assisting with registration. The office of the Registrar offers information and resources for current students, prospective students, faculty, and staff.
It is also the responsibility of the Registrar’s Office to maintain accurate and secure records. For the protection of student’s rights to privacy, the Registrar’s Office ensures the College’s compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
Southern Crescent Technical College annually informs students about the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974. The College fully complies with FERPA which was designed to protect the privacy of education records, establish the right of students to inspect and review their education records, and provide guidelines for the correction of inaccurate or misleading data through information and formal hearings. Students also have the right to file complaints with FERPA concerning alleged failures by the College to comply with the Act.
