Pre-registration and payment for a class will reserve your seat. Registration is required at least one week in advance. There are no educational prerequisites for most courses, and applicants are not required to send high school transcripts or take an entrance exam for non-credit classes.
A parent or guardian must accompany any student under 16 years of age. Parents or guardians of children whose behavior disrupts class will be given one warning. If disruptive behavior persists, the child will be dismissed from the class without a refund.
Registration is on a first come - first served basis. Because class enrollment is limited in most classes, it is best to register as early as possible.
Registration may be paid either in person, by phone or fax, or via mail delivery. We accept money orders, cashier’s checks, personal checks, cash, VISA, MasterCard, and Discover. Payment for class registrations is at least one week in advance, if space is still available we will accept registrations up until the class begins, but registration must be done through Economic Development or the cashier's office. Our instructors are not permitted to accept cash for registration fees.
Checks should be made payable to Southern Crescent Technical College and must be received prior to the beginning date of your course. If your course selection is unavailable when we receive your check, you will be notified and given the opportunity to make an alternate selection or receive a full refund. There is a $30 fee for checks drawn on accounts without sufficient funds. Checks may be delivered in person or mailed with a completed registration form to:

Purchase orders (PO's) or company authorizations may be faxed or mailed with a completed registration form. The authorization must be on a company letterhead and signed by a company official stating the student's name, course, to whom to send the invoice, and FEIN (Federal Employer Identification Number).
We do not have change available in our office. Please bring exact change. Cash payments should be made in person. Credit card (VISA, MasterCard, and Discover) payment may be done in person, over the telephone, or via fax.
Walk-in registrations are always welcome. Our office hours are Monday - Thursday from 7 am to 6 pm. After business hours, you can register in the main building at the cashier's window.
Most classes have a minimum number of students that will ensure adequate enrollment; which is why we require registration at least a week prior to class. If enrollment is under the required number you will be notified of cancellation at least 3 days before class is to begin. You will be refunded in full.
If you need to withdraw from a class, you must notify the Economic Development office at least 48 hours before class is scheduled to begin. Please call the campus/center where you originally registered.
