The first step in applying for financial aid is to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), which collects information about you and your family's financial situation.You should complete the FAFSA as soon as possible after October 1 of the year you are requesting aid. Southern Crescents Admissions and Financial Aid Documentation Deadlines are listed below:Fall Semester 2016 – August 4th

Spring Semester 2017 – December 8th

Summer Semester 2017 – May 11th

If possible, complete your income taxes (and/or have your parents complete their income taxes) before you complete the FAFSA.

 How to Apply

Apply for Financial Aid TODAY - YOU MUST COMPLETE THE FAFSA. To complete either FAFSA, visit www.fafsa.ed.gov.

Students seeking federal financial aid, as well as a number of state financial aid programs, this includes HOPE, must complete a FAFSA. This can be done  online, or with the paper form by mail. Should you choose to complete the FAFSA by mail, you, the student, must contact FAFSA directly by calling the Federal Student Aid Information Center at (1-800) 433-3243 or (1-319)337-5665.

Please allow 7 to 10 business days for processing of your Financial Aid Award.
