Southern Crescent Technical College (SCTC) is proud to announce the appointment of Montrese Adger Fuller as Vice President of Institutional Advancement, Marketing and Public Relations. Fuller brings nearly 26 years of higher education leadership experience to the College, with a proven record of enhancing student success, advancing fundraising efforts, and cultivating impactful partnerships.
Before joining SCTC, Fuller served as Vice President for Advancement and External Relations at Clayton State University, where she led strategic fundraising initiatives, donor engagement, and external relations. She was instrumental in working with her colleagues to secure one of the University’s largest grants of $1 million from the Coca-Cola Foundation, providing vital scholarship support for first-generation students.
At Gordon State College, Fuller served as Vice President of Advancement, External Relations and Marketing, and Executive Director of the Gordon State College Foundation. There, she helped secure three of the largest gifts in the Foundation’s history, increasing assets from $10.4 million to an unprecedented $16.7 million. Her leadership also strengthened community relationships and enhanced marketing and communications strategies.
Fuller has also held key development positions at Georgia State University, the University of Georgia, Emory University, and Howard University. She was named to the 2022 American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) Millennium Leadership Initiative (MLI) Cohort and is a member of both the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and the Georgia Education Advancement Council (GEAC).
“I am truly honored to join Southern Crescent Technical College and excited to build on the strong foundation already in place,” said Fuller. “I look forward to working collaboratively with faculty, staff, alumni, and community partners to expand opportunities for our students and to further strengthen SCTC’s role as a leader in workforce and economic development.”
SCTC President Dr. Irvin Clark shared his enthusiasm: “We are thrilled to welcome Montrese to the Southern Crescent family. Her extensive experience in advancement, fundraising, and strategic communications will be instrumental in helping us expand resources, strengthen partnerships, and elevate SCTC’s visibility throughout our service areas. She is a transformational leader whose vision aligns perfectly with our mission of student success.”
