Southern Crescent Technical College recently hosted the 2026 Southern Crescent Regional Career Fair on April 15, 2026, bringing together employers, students, job seekers, and community partners for a day focused on workforce development and career opportunities across the region.
The event welcomed nearly 70 employers and more than 200 employment candidates during the four-hour career fair, creating valuable opportunities for networking, recruitment, and career exploration. Participants engaged in meaningful conversations with employers, participated in on-the-spot interviews, and learned more about internships, apprenticeships, and career pathways available throughout the Southern Crescent region.
The Career Fair highlighted SCTC’s ongoing commitment to connecting education and workforce opportunities while supporting regional economic growth and talent development.
“The level of engagement and enthusiasm we saw this year was phenomenal and speaks to the shared commitment of our community partners to workforce development,” said Adessa Green, Assistant Director of Career Services and Apprenticeship Programs at Southern Crescent Technical College. “We are excited about the continued growth of this event and look forward to hosting an even larger and more impactful Career Fair next spring.”
The college expressed appreciation to the many employers, partners, and community organizations that participated and contributed to the success of the event. Contributions and support for the Career Fair were provided by county and city governments throughout SCTC’s service area, further demonstrating the region’s collective investment in workforce readiness and economic opportunity.
