Southern Crescent Technical College helped students beat the summer heat this week with its “Summer Chill” series, sponsored by the Student Government Association (SGA). The three-campus event featured complimentary ice cream from The Cool Cone, giving students a refreshing treat while providing an opportunity to relax, recharge, and connect with classmates during the summer semester.
The “Summer Chill” tour visited the Henry County Center, Flint River Campus, and Griffin Campus throughout the week, where students stopped by to enjoy delicious ice cream while taking a break between classes. The events created opportunities for students to engage with one another, build community, and enjoy campus life outside the classroom.
“SCTC is committed to student success, and that includes creating moments where students can feel appreciated, connected, and supported,” said Dr. Irvin T. Clark, President of Southern Crescent Technical College. “Our Summer Chill events were a wonderful way to thank our students for their hard work and dedication throughout the summer semester while fostering a welcoming campus environment.”
The Student Government Association continues to champion initiatives that enhance the student experience, and this week’s “Summer Chill” events demonstrated its commitment to creating a vibrant, engaging campus culture. Through activities like these, SCTC continues to support student well-being while encouraging meaningful connections across its campuses.
