Southern Crescent Technical College (SCTC) is keeping things cool this summer with a refreshing series of “Summer Chill” events for currently enrolled students, sponsored by the Student Government Association (SGA). The events feature frozen fruit lemonades served by the popular local vendor, Little Miss Juicy, offering students a sweet way to relax and recharge.
“Summer Chill” kicked off on Monday, June 23, at SCTC’s Henry County Center, where students enjoyed the fruity frozen beverages from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The next stop will be the Griffin Campus on Thursday, June 26, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., followed by the final event at the Flint River Campus on Monday, June 30, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
These events not only help students beat the summer heat but also provide an opportunity to build community, enjoy campus life, and unwind in between classes.
“SCTC is committed to student success, and that includes creating moments where students can feel appreciated, connected, and supported,” said Dr. Irvin Clark, President of Southern Crescent Technical College. “The Summer Chill events are a great way to say thank you to our students for their hard work and dedication—even during the summer semester.”
The SGA continues to lead initiatives that enhance the student experience, and “Summer Chill” is a shining example of their commitment to creating a vibrant and engaging campus culture.
