“We are proud to welcome Dan Owens and Steve Ivory to the SCTC Board of Directors,” said Dr. Clark. “Both bring exceptional leadership experience and a deep commitment to their communities. Their insight and collaboration will play a critical role as we continue to expand access, strengthen workforce partnerships, and create life-changing opportunities for our students.”
Dan Owens serves as Chief Executive Officer of Upson Regional Medical Center and brings more than 30 years of healthcare leadership experience. Owens is widely recognized for his strategic leadership and commitment to advancing healthcare and community partnerships throughout Georgia. “I am humbled to join the Southern Crescent Technical College Board of Directors and to represent Upson County in this important work,” said Owens. “Technical college education changes lives, and strong partnerships between educational institutions, employers, and community organizations are essential for long-term growth and health of our communities. I look forward to supporting SCTC’s mission and helping connect students to meaningful careers right here at home.”
Steve Ivory is a distinguished leader with a strong background in military service, corporate leadership, and community engagement. A retired U.S. Marine Corps Major and graduate of the United States Naval Academy, Ivory also served as a corporate quality executive and is currently active in Rotary leadership at the district level. His longstanding commitment to service and mentorship has made a lasting impact across the Fayette County community. “I am so excited to work with this very professional board and team of educators and look forward to my role of advocating for technical service education in the south Atlanta area,” said Ivory.
Southern Crescent Technical College looks forward to the leadership and perspective both Owens and Ivory will bring as the College continues to grow its impact across the region.
