GRIFFIN, GA — Southern Crescent Technical College is proud to announce its 2026 Commencement Ceremony, celebrating the dedication, perseverance, and achievements of graduates who are ready to take the next bold step into their futures.
The ceremonies will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Trilith LIVE. Two ceremonies will take place to honor graduates across the college’s programs.

“We are proud to celebrate the hard work and determination of our graduates,” said Dr. Irvin T. Clark, President of Southern Crescent Technical College. “Commencement is a special milestone that reflects the resilience of our students and the bright futures that await them.”
The keynote speaker for the 10:00 a.m. ceremony will be the Honorable Carlos Duffey, Mayor of Jackson. Mayor Duffey is a dedicated public servant and community advocate whose leadership has helped transform Jackson through economic development, youth literacy initiatives, parks, infrastructure improvements, and community engagement programs. He currently serves as Director of Marketing at the Westbury Center of Jackson and has been widely recognized for his service, including being named Butts County Citizen of the Year.
The keynote speaker for the 2:00 p.m. ceremony will be the Honorable Beth Camp, State Representative for House District 135, representing portions of Lamar County and Spalding County and all of Pike County. Representative Camp has devoted her career to public service, emergency response, education, and community leadership. She is also a successful business owner and real estate broker, while actively serving organizations that support children and families.
