Southern Crescent Technical College is proud to announce that President Dr. Irvin Clark has been named one of Georgia Trend’s 500 Most Influential Leaders for 2025. This prestigious recognition honors leaders who make a lasting impact on Georgia’s economy, workforce, and communities.

Under Dr. Clark’s leadership, Southern Crescent Technical College serves more than 6,500 students across six campuses, while continuing to expand access to high-quality technical education and workforce training. His vision has driven significant institutional growth and strengthened partnerships that support regional economic development.

One of the most notable initiatives under Dr. Clark’s leadership is the upcoming $7 million Robotics Advanced Manufacturing Center at the Griffin Campus, scheduled to open next fall. The center will serve as the region’s premier training hub for advanced manufacturing, preparing students with in-demand skills aligned to industry needs.

Dr. Clark’s influence also extends beyond the college. In 2025, he received the South Metro Development Outlook Excellence in Education and Workforce Development Award and continues to serve in key leadership roles that support workforce and economic development throughout the region.

“Being named one of Georgia Trend’s 500 Most Influential Leaders is truly an honor,” said Dr. Clark. “This recognition reflects the collective work of our dedicated faculty, staff, students, and community partners. Together, we are committed to expanding opportunity, strengthening the workforce, and serving our communities through accessible, high-quality technical education.”

Southern Crescent Technical College congratulates Dr. Clark on this well-earned recognition and thanks him for his continued vision, commitment, and service to the communities SCTC proudly serves.
