Testing

Southern Crescent Technical College’s Economic Development Division offers many types of test/assessments for our current students as well as outside individuals.

If you are looking to gain entrance to the college, please go through admissions.

Tests / Assessments Offered


Note: You will need to present a photo ID for all testing. Please do not bring personal items into the testing lab. Some tests require your email, please check that you are able to login to and access the account for the email address you provide.

Georgia Pest Control

Our normal Georgia Pest Control testing days in Griffin are:

  • Mondays at 2:00 PM
  • Thursdays at 2:00 PM

Where:

  • Ellis Crossing – Griffin Campus – 661 North Expressway (located behind Napa Auto Parts) in Economic Development.

You must register at www.gapestexam.com.

Print out your required registration page and have your DCO sign it (if necessary) and bring it to your scheduled test time with a Photo ID.

Proctoring

We offer proctoring for those that are taking a test for another college.

Our normal proctoring days are:

  • Mondays and Thursdays at 2:30 PM

Where:

  • Ellis Crossing – Griffin Campus – 661 North Expressway (located behind Napa Auto Parts) in Economic Development.

Cost:

  • $75 for a 3-hour block

HESI A2

Our normal HESI A2 testing days in Griffin are:

  • Tuesdays at 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM

HESI A2 – Non-Credit Registration Form (PDF)

All students applying to an allied health competitive admission program must take the HESI A2 exam.  

  • For associate degree programs, the student must achieve a score of 70 or higher to be eligible for program application.
  • For diploma and technical certificate of credit programs the student must achieve a score of 60 or higher to be eligible for program application.
  • The test is administered through Economic Development. Email leann.white@sctech.edu to sign up for the exam. The cost of the exam is $85. Appointments only.
  • Student may take the exam two times per calendar year.

The HESI A2 will cover the following topics:

  1. Reading comprehension
  2. Vocabulary and General Knowledge
  3. Grammar
  4. Basic Math skills
  5. Biology
  6. Anatomy and Physiology
  7. Critical Thinking

WorkKeys

We offer ACT’s WorkKeys assessments on:

  • Wednesdays at 12:45 PM. Must have an appointment.

Where:

  • Ellis Crossing – Griffin Campus – 661 North Expressway (located behind Napa Auto Parts) in Economic Development.

Cost:

  • $30.00 per assessment

These assessments include what was formally known as the Georgia Work Ready Assessments.
