Kelly Browning

Early Childhood Care and Education Graduate

After dropping out of two different colleges in my early 20’s, I never thought I would have the courage to go back. It took me 22 years to try again, but immediately upon entering the doors of Southern Crescent Technical College, I recognized that the instructors were truly invested in me succeeding and were there to guide me along the way. I went from only wanting to earn one certification, to eventually graduating with my Associates degree. Through their articulation agreement with Mercer University, I was then able to transfer most of my credits and begin Mercer as a junior. I am now one year away from earning my bachelor’s degree and finally realizing a goal I have had for most of my life, teaching.

The person I was walking into SCTC on that first day was not the same person that walked across the stage at graduation. I now have the confidence to reach for my goals and the determination and skills to complete them. Southern Crescent Technical College changed the trajectory of my life!
