Events

The Southern Crescent Technical College Foundation sponsors the following events during the calendar year.

Food and Wine Pairings

In partnership with the Culinary Arts Advisory Committee, the Southern Crescent Technical College Foundation sponsors an annual Food and Wine Pairings Event on the Griffin Campus each spring.  For six years the fundraiser has raised funds for scholarships for students in the Culinary Arts Program.  The event has grown in size and has become one of the most popular events on the Griffin Campus.  In addition to the many scholarships that have been funded from the proceeds of this event, twelve students have received a travel abroad scholarship to Kendal College in England.  Approximately 100 individuals attend this popular event which is funded from corporate sponsorships and individual ticket sales.

An Evening in Monte Carlo

For the past several years, the Southern Crescent Technical College Foundation has sponsored An Evening in Monte Carlo on the Flint River Campus in Thomaston in the spring.  During the evening, the guests enjoy games, auction items, and  heavy  hors d’oeuvres.  The event is funded from corporate sponsorships and individual ticket sales.

Red Carpet Gala

For fourteen consecutive years, the Southern Crescent Technical College Foundation  has sponsored the Red Carpet Gala, a black tie optional event that features dinner, dancing, a reverse raffle, and a live and silent auction.  The event is the perfect way to show your friends, business associates, or employees a night of delicious dining, wonderful entertainment and an opportunity to participate in a silent and live auction and a reverse raffle for a grand prize of $5000.  The event is funded by corporate sponsorships and individual ticket sales.

Tech Connect Event

The inaugural Tech Connect Event was held in October of last year in Building B at the Henry County Center in McDonough.  The event was a wine, craft beer, and charcuterie event that connected the College and the community, and the  charcuterie was prepared by Southern Crescent Technical College Culinary Arts students.  The event was funded by corporate sponsorships and individual ticket sales.
