The Southern Crescent Technical College Foundation sponsors the following events during the calendar year.
This year the Southern Crescent Technical College Foundation will host the Drive “Fore” Education Invitational Golf Tournament in the fall of 2023 at The Club at Shoal Creek in Griffin, GA. The tournament will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a Ft. Lauderdale format.

As Southern Crescent Technical College serves the eight counties of Henry, Spalding, Fayette, Jasper, Butts, Lamar, Pike, and Upson, the Foundation is seeking representation from all of the eight counties with sponsorships and teams, and the goal is to have 27 teams in the tournament. Contests during the tournament include million dollar shoot out, hole in one, putting, longest drive, and closest to the pin. Awards will be given to the first, second, and third place teams. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit Southern Crescent Technical College.

In partnership with the Culinary Arts Advisory Committee, the Southern Crescent Technical College Foundation sponsors an annual Food and Wine Pairings Event on the Griffin Campus each spring. For seven years the fundraiser has raised funds for scholarships for students in the Culinary Arts Program. The event has grown in size and has become one of the most popular events on the Griffin Campus. In addition to the many scholarships that have been funded from the from the proceeds of this event, 15 students have received a travel abroad scholarship to Kendal College in England. Approximately 200 individuals attend this popular event which is funded from corporate sponsorships and individual ticket sales.
For several years, the Southern Crescent Technical College Foundation has sponsored An Evening in Monte Carlo on the Flint River Campus in Thomaston in the spring. During the evening, the guests enjoy games, auction items, and heavy hors d’oeuvres. The event is funded from corporate sponsorships and individual ticket sales.
For fourteen years, the Southern Crescent Technical College Foundation has sponsored the Red Carpet Gala, a black tie optional event that features dinner, dancing, a reverse raffle, and a live and silent auction. The event is the perfect way to show your friends, business associates, or employees a night of delicious dining, wonderful entertainment and an opportunity to participate in a silent and live auction and a reverse raffle for a grand prize of $5000. The event is funded by corporate sponsorships and individual ticket sales.
The inaugural Tech Connect Event was held in October of 2019 in Building B at the Henry County Center in McDonough. The event was a wine, craft beer, and charcuterie event that connected the College and the community, and the charcuterie was prepared by Southern Crescent Technical College Culinary Arts students. The event was funded by corporate sponsorships and individual ticket sales.
