Southern Crescent Technical College is pleased to announce the expansion of the Adult Education program in Butts County. This week, an additional class was added on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 8:30 am – noon. This class is offered at the SCTC Butts County Center, located at 1578 Highway 16 West in Jackson. A second Adult Education class is offered on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 5:30 – 8:30 pm.
Adult Education classes are designed to help students with College and Career Readiness, GED/HiSet Preparation, Life Skills, and English as a Second Language. Individuals ages 16 and up are eligible to enroll in the program with proper documentation. Instruction includes individualized assignments, small group and large group instruction and activities, and online components in order to maximize learning opportunities. An array of class times and days allows students to attend classes without sacrificing job, family, and other commitments. All instruction, books, and materials are free of charge. Regular attendance is required.
