SCTC SkillsUSA Students Win Big at State Competition

Two students from Southern Crescent Technical College recently participated in a virtual SkillsUSA State Conference and Competition held March 8-19, 2021 with the closing awards taking place on April 5, 2021. Representing Southern Crescent Technical College were Ai’jona Perry in Job Interview and Dallin Reeve in Customer Service. Dallin Reeve was awarded the Gold medal for his performance. Students competed against approximately 200 in various areas including leadership, health, trade and technical competitions. Tim Connell and Cherryl Burks, SCTC Skills Advisors were also in attendance.

Dallin will be competing the virtual SkillsUSA’s National Leadership and Skills Conference which is scheduled for June 21-24, 2021.  He will compete against winners from all across the nation.

SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers, and industry representatives working together to ensure America has a skilled work force.  They are a national nonprofit organization serving teachers and college students who are preparing for careers in trade, technical, and skilled service occupations, including health occupations.
